Neo Kwakwa [photo]

Neo Kwakwa

Acting General Manager

Neo Kwakwa is a Mechanical Engineer by profession with 33 years post graduate experience, covering project, maintenance, and operational management of heavy industrial plant as well as the statutory regulation of same – with major focus areas being power generation, soda/salt manufacturing, Activox technology and Copper Sulphide Concentrator plants.

 
 

He then went to serve as a Principal Engineer in the government inspectorate, after which he joined Tati Nickel Mining as a Projects Engineer for the Activox project. In 2009 he was promoted to Engineering Executive.

Neo, in his prior substantive role, is in charge of all utility service support functions at Khoemacau Mine. Neo holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova-Scotia in Canada and Master of Science in Combustion and Energy from Leeds University in the United Kingdom.

Logic Sebopeng

Mining Manager

Logic Sebopeng is a seasoned mining professional with over 20 years experience in underground and open pit mining. His array of experience in mining covers mining project studies, mining projects legal permitting, operational readiness, mining project start up and operations management.

 
 

Logic holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-Mining from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom), Diploma in Mining from the University of Botswana and successfully completed the Management Development Program from the University of Cape Town (South Africa).

Mompati Babusi [photo]

Mompati Babusi

Process Manager

Mompati Babusi is a metallurgist with 19 years of base metal concentrator plant operational and management experience. After graduating from university, Mompati joined Tati Nickel Mining Company.

 
 

He was involved in the commissioning and later the upgrading of the Tati Nickel concentrator plant. He has vast experience in metallurgical accounting, process improvement and optimisation, and process control. Mompati is responsible for leading the Process Plant team to ensure the safe and efficient production of copper and silver concentrate.

Mompati holds a Bachelor of Mineral Processing Engineering (Hons) degree from the University of Queensland in Australia. He has also completed the Management Development Programme (MDP) at the University of Stellenbosch.

Vincent Mothupi [photo]

Vincent Mothupi

Human Resources Manager

Vincent has worked for various organisations and across multiple industries including mining, wholesale, and parastatals. Vincent joined Khoemacau ffrom the National Food Technology Research Centre in Kanye, Botswana, where he was the Director of Corporate Services.

 
 

Vincent Mothupi holds a PhD, a Master’s degree and an Honours degree in Development and Management, all obtained from North-West University, South Africa. He also has two Diplomas in Human Resources Management, from the Institute of People Management (RSA) and Southern Business School (RSA). He is a Chartered member of the South African Board of Personnel Practitioners (SABPP) and has sat on a number of Boards.

Tobokani Mosetlha

Finance Manager

Tobokani Mosetlha is a seasoned finance professional with over 26 years of post-graduate experience of which 21 years were in the mining industry. His career has spanned various mining operations in Botswana starting with Debswana from where he joined BCL Limited, Tati Nickel, African Copper and Gem Diamonds Botswana in various finance positions.

 
 

Tobokani holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Botswana, He is a Certified Management Accountant with the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and a member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has completed the International Executive Development Program with Wits Business School and London Business School.

Gomolemo Gaolatlhe

Safety and Health Manager

Gomolemo Gaolatlhe brings over 12 years of experience from project studies through to construction and operations in Safety, Health & Environment covering the Construction, Project Consulting and Mining sectors.

 
 

Gomolemo has a proven track record of providing technical and execution advice to ensure standards and policies are implemented effectively. Additionally, he is instrumental in providing operational and strategic leadership as the head of Safety & Health by offering managerial and technical guidance to departmental staff on all aspects of SHE to meet key performance indicators.

Gomolemo has a B.Tech in Safety Management from the University of South Africa and is a registered professional member with The Institute of Safety Management (IOSM).

Johnny Marudu

Environment and Community Manager

Johnny Marudu has 17 years experience in environmental and social management. He provides environmental and stakeholder management input into planning and rehabilitation activities through direct consultation with internal and external stakeholders.

 
 

His environmental stewardship approach is based on the identification, assessment, monitoring and control of risks across all phases of the business.

Johnny has a proven record of providing technical and execution advice to ensure environmental and social management programmes are implemented effectively. In addition, Johnny has been instrumental in due diligence forums for sourcing funds for mine development projects.

Johnny has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and Archaeology from the University of Botswana.

Oarabile Disang< [photo]

Oarabile Disang

Exploration Manager

Oarabile Disang is an accomplished geoscience professional with over 16 years experience in exploration geology, mining geology and geological research as well as solid business background and knowledge of contract management, project management, exploration property valuation, mine financial modelling and mineral market analysis.

 
 

Oarabile commenced his exploration and mining geology career in open pit mining with Tati Nickel Mining Company in 2007 as a Graduate Mine Geologist. Following on the successfully completion of the graduate development program, he has subsequently worked for the private sector including universities, consulting companies, exploration, and mining companies before being appointed as Exploration Manager for Khoemacau Copper Mining in August 2019.

He has authored and co-authored 2 professional publications on the geology of the Kalahari Copperbelt. He holds a BSc Geology from the University of Botswana complemented with an MSc in Mineral Economics obtained from Curtin University, Western Australian School of Mines as well as Senior Exploration Management certification from Western Mining Services.
